Sail Through Ice<br />

4d6 Structure Points (see RuneQuest Companion, page<br />

70) usable only for dealing with the effect <strong>of</strong> ice impacting<br />

on the hull. For each additional point <strong>of</strong> Magnitude, the<br />

ship gains 1 more point <strong>of</strong> Hull and 4d6 Structure Points.<br />

Any ice damage to the ship is taken on the additional Hull<br />

and Structure Points first.<br />

Seastrength<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 2, Ranged<br />

Cult: Wachaza<br />

This spell doubles the recipient’s STR, with no restrictions<br />

on maximum limit. The target must be in contact with<br />

seawater when the spell is cast. The spell does not double<br />

any bonuses to STR. For example, the increases to STR<br />

provided by the Strength spell would not be affected<br />

(though it would add to the doubled STR attribute).<br />

Seal Wound<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 1, Ranged<br />

Cult: Zorak Zoran<br />

Damage done by the weapon this spell is cast on cannot<br />

regenerate or heal magically. Only the passage <strong>of</strong> time<br />

and natural healing can cure the wound. Thus, a Heal<br />

spell cauterises a bleeding wound but does not heal any<br />

hit points <strong>of</strong> damage. Limbs can be restored (via Restore<br />

Limb) but damage from the wound is not healed. First<br />

Aid is also ineffective although it does stop bleeding.<br />

See the Unseen<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 1, Trigger<br />

Cult: Buserian<br />

This spell automatically pits the caster in an opposed<br />

Persistence test whenever an unseen entity is present.<br />

This can include an invisible ghost, a concealed magician<br />

or a spell-hidden door. If the opposed test is successful,<br />

the concealed being is revealed to the caster. This spell<br />

will function even if the caster is not actively seeking<br />

concealed beings, but will be used up as normal.<br />

Shake Earth<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 1, Progressive, Ranged<br />

Cult: Maran Gor<br />

This spell affects an area <strong>of</strong> land equal to the caster’s<br />

POW in metres square.<br />

All character within the area affected have a –5% penalty<br />

on all DEX related rolls (Dodge, Riding and so on) for<br />

each point <strong>of</strong> Magnitude in the spell. Each round, anyone<br />

standing up must succeed in an Athletics or Acrobatics<br />

(whichever is best) test or fall down. Other results such<br />

as toppling trees, avalanches, collapsing buildings, and<br />

so on, are up to the Games Master.<br />

Shipspeed<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 1, Progressive, Ranged<br />

Cult: Yigg<br />

This spell must be cast upon a ship. While this spell is<br />

in effect, the ship adds 5m to its Speed (see RuneQuest<br />

Companion, page 70). For each additional point <strong>of</strong><br />

Magnitude, the ship gains an additional 5m Speed.<br />

Silvertongue<br />

Duration 15, Magnitude 1, Progressive, Ranged<br />

Cult: Issaries<br />

This spell greatly enhances the user’s bargaining and<br />

communication ability. It provides a +10% bonus per<br />

point <strong>of</strong> Magnitude to the target’s Influence skill.<br />
