hang up, the CO line call will then camp-on to<br />

the busy station. The busy station will be<br />

alerted of the camp-on by a camp-on tone (five<br />

quick tone bursts), the CO line LED will flash<br />

at the exclusive hold rate, and a message<br />

(“CAMP-ON X”, X = the CO line number) will<br />

appear on the LCD (if equipped). Among other<br />

applications, one in which a VM/auto atten-<br />

dant device that transfers calls to a typically<br />

busy answering position station will benefit<br />

from this feature-some auto attendant devices<br />

cannot transfer a call to a busy station if BST<br />

and BSR are not activated.<br />

NOTE:<br />

A BST station will receive ringback tone, in-<br />

stead of busy tone, when transferring a call to a<br />

busy BSR station.<br />

l Automatic Hold, LED 18-If this feature is<br />

allowed, digital and electronic telephone users<br />

with CO line buttons can place a CO line or<br />

intercom call on hold and call another CO line<br />

or station just by pressing another CO line<br />

button or the Intercom button and dialing the<br />

number-there is no need to press the Hold<br />

button to place the existing call on hold. If<br />

Automatic Hold is denied with this LED, users<br />

can put calls on hold and place calls, but they<br />

will have to press the Hold button before<br />

accessing another CO or intercom line.<br />

NOTES:<br />

7. CO lines or intercom calls that appear on<br />

the intercom button will automatically hold<br />

when accessing another CO line button.<br />

LCD Individual Message, LED 05-Turn<br />

LED 05 ON to allow stations to store up to<br />

ten personal LCD messages. Stations se-<br />

lected with this feature will also be able to<br />

assign alphanumeric memos to each of their<br />

personal Speed Dial numbers.<br />

Message Waiting (RCV), LED 04-If the<br />

message waiting indication is not desired on<br />

a digital or electronic telephone, this pro-<br />

gram can be used to deny it. This does not<br />

affect that station’s ability to send a mes-<br />

sage waiting indication to another station.<br />

LCD Type/32/12, LED 02-Digital tele-<br />

phones and 6500-series LCD Electronic<br />

Telephones have a 32-character display.<br />

Therefore, assignments should be left in the<br />

initialized state of 32 characters. LED 02<br />

must be ON to receive avoice mail message<br />

waiting indication.<br />

LCD Display, LED 01-This option should<br />

be used (LED 01 ON) for all stations (even<br />

non-LCD) unless it is desired to disable the<br />

station’s LCD and message waiting LED<br />

function.<br />

Disable Continuous DTMF tones, LED 17- Program 36-Fixed Call Forward: Fixed Call<br />

Turns off continuous DTMF tones on 2000- Forwarding is different from other station Call<br />
