Zonal defence: zonal marking<br />

• other players are responsible for specifi c zones of the<br />

penalty area, decided before the match. They do not<br />

mark individual opponents.<br />

Short corners<br />

Short corners can take the defence by surprise and a<br />

strategy must be defi ned on how to react.<br />

Situation 1 - the opponents are in a two against one<br />

situation. It must be decided which player will go out to<br />

restore parity (two against two).<br />
