Pearson’s correlations were computed in order to assess <strong>the</strong> relationship between<br />

<strong>use</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> interior design <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong>s. There is significant relationship<br />

between intentions related to aes<strong>the</strong>tics in interior design <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

existence <strong>of</strong> <strong>public</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> activities (r= 0.447, df= 30, p< 0.005) (see Appendix B<br />

for <strong>the</strong> results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> statistical analysis). The correlation is positive, which means<br />

that if <strong>public</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> activities are performed in <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong>, intentions<br />

related to aes<strong>the</strong>tics in interior design exist. Also, <strong>the</strong>re is significant relationship<br />

between intentions related to aes<strong>the</strong>tics in <strong>the</strong> interior design <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> number <strong>of</strong> <strong>private</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> activities (r= -0.509, df= 30, p< 0.001). The<br />

correlation is negative, which means that <strong>the</strong> intentions related to aes<strong>the</strong>tics in <strong>the</strong><br />

interior design <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> exist more when <strong>private</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> activities are<br />

performed less (see Figure 3.10 for <strong>the</strong> relationship between intentions related to<br />

aes<strong>the</strong>tics <strong>and</strong> number <strong>of</strong> <strong>private</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> activities). Thus, <strong>the</strong>re is a significant<br />

relationship between <strong>the</strong> total number <strong>of</strong> activities <strong>and</strong> intentions related to<br />

aes<strong>the</strong>tics (r= -0.446, df= 30, p< 0.005). The correlation is negative, which indicates<br />

that <strong>the</strong> intentions related to aes<strong>the</strong>tics in interior design exist when <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong><br />

activities performed in <strong>the</strong> <strong>living</strong> <strong>room</strong> is fewer.<br />
