CREATING A MASTER SCHEDULE<br />

Planning your schedule is essential to smooth sailing on<br />

the wedding day. <strong>The</strong> couple should know that if there are<br />

delays, adjustments or deletions will have to be made to<br />

the requested pictures. Good planning and an understanding<br />

<strong>of</strong> exactly what the bride and groom want will help<br />

prevent any problems.<br />

like this takes advance planning. Jerry Ghionis<br />

created this image with a 1/2 second exposure, two<br />

flash exposures (one frontal and one behind the<br />

couple) and a 17mm lens at f/4. LEFT—When<br />

venues are either special or unusual, it’s a good<br />

idea to get a few shots for album pages or simply<br />

to supply to vendors later. Here, on site for a<br />

Charles Maring wedding, Jennifer Maring took<br />

the time to create a wonderful image <strong>of</strong> the boat<br />

house/reception hall. <strong>The</strong> image was made with a<br />

tripod-mounted Nikon D1X, and 17mm lens.<br />

<strong>The</strong> image was exposed for 1/10 second at f/2.8.<br />

You should know how long it takes for you to drive<br />

from the bride’s home to the ceremony. Inform the bride<br />

that you will arrive at least a 45 minutes to an hour before<br />

she leaves. You should arrive at church at about the same<br />

time as or a little before the groom, who should arrive<br />

about a half-hour before the ceremony. At that time you<br />

can make portraits <strong>of</strong> the groom and his groomsmen and<br />
