Declared noise levels for electric tools are<br />

below 70 dB(A), and below 80 dB(A) for<br />

pneumatic tools. Angle nutrunners generate<br />

no process noise and, since they are not oper-<br />

ated for prolonged periods during one day,<br />

they do not cause any significant increase in<br />

the noise level at the workplace. Electric tools<br />

have even been criticized for being too silent.<br />

Sometimes the operators do not get sufficient<br />

acoustic feedback when using the tool to judge<br />

the progress of the tightening cycle.<br />

DUSt anD oil<br />

These factors are not an operating problem<br />

for pneumatic or electric tools.<br />

Modern angle nutrunners are increasingly<br />

used in the aerospace industry.<br />
