• Conduct strategic communications in support of IW campaign<br />
objectives.<br />
• Conduct information operations (operations security, information<br />
security, military deception, PSYOP, electronic warfare, computer<br />
network attack and defense; and physical destruction) in support of IW<br />
campaign objectives.<br />
• Conduct HUMINT network operations in advance of and throughout the<br />
IW campaign.<br />
• Collect and exploit information on the situation.<br />
• Produce and/or disseminate intelligence on the situation.<br />
• Conduct counterintelligence operations.<br />
• Provide political-military support to IW.<br />
• Provide security assistance.<br />
• Execute CMO.<br />
• Provide nation assistance to foreign states, <strong>org</strong>anizations, or groups.<br />
• Provide combat and non-combat military training and advisory<br />
assistance to the armed forces and other security forces of a foreign<br />

• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to control significant<br />
land areas.<br />
• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to control significant<br />

• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to conduct lethal<br />
strike operations.<br />
• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to strike targets<br />
using non-lethal means.<br />
• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to conduct personnel<br />
recovery operations.<br />
• Conduct joint net-centric operations that link globally distributed<br />
forces conducting IW.<br />
• Ensure that forces conducting IW have the ability to conduct CWMD<br />
operations.<br />
• Provide base support and services to IW operations.<br />
Assess. This capability seeks to determine the effects of the IW operation<br />
and/or campaign, the impact on various adversaries, and the requirements for<br />
subsequent operations. These tasks include collecting information about IW<br />
activities and conducting an assessment of operational effectiveness in order to<br />
update situational understanding and future planning activities. The desired<br />
end state of this task is the ability to measure progress of the joint force toward<br />
