ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING<br />

<strong>The</strong> Electrical Engineering major <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> Physics/EE prepares the student<br />

for the analysis and design <strong>of</strong> electronic systems and devices whose principal functions are<br />

the shaping and control <strong>of</strong> information. <strong>The</strong> department <strong>of</strong> Physics/EE <strong>of</strong>fers four areas <strong>of</strong><br />

focus: Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Optical Engineering, and<br />

Environmental Instrumentation Engineering. <strong>The</strong> specific electives for these areas <strong>of</strong> focus<br />

will be chosen in consultation with the student’s academic advisor.<br />
