SPECIAL SERVICE AREA #5 FUND<br />
Overview<br />
Property taxes fund the maintenance efforts <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Village</strong>’s Special Service Area #5<br />
located in the Southwind Subdivision. Common areas such as stormwater detention<br />
facilities, bike paths, signage, parkways, etc. are maintained by the <strong>Village</strong>. These<br />
services are paid for by each home located within the Special Service Area by a separate<br />
property tax levied for this purpose. Each year, the <strong>Village</strong> determines the amount <strong>of</strong><br />
the property tax levy by reviewing expenditures.<br />
