<strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Huntley</strong><br />
MOTOR FUEL TAX FUND (Fund 42)<br />
The Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Fund receives monies from the State <strong>of</strong> Illinois, which<br />
generates revenues through a tax on fuel sales <strong>and</strong> is distributed to municipalities on a<br />
per capita basis. The <strong>Village</strong>'s use <strong>of</strong> this money is restricted by the State for the<br />
purpose <strong>of</strong> maintaining <strong>Village</strong> streets. The state audits the MFT fund annually. This<br />
fund will greatly benefit from the 2008 Special Census due to the anticipated significant<br />
increase in the <strong>Village</strong>'s population thus increasing the per capita amount for the <strong>Village</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Huntley</strong>.<br />
ROAD & BRIDGE FUND (Fund 43)<br />
The Road & Bridge Fund is primarily used to supplement the Motor Fuel Tax Fund with<br />
one major street project each year. Revenues include property tax <strong>and</strong> Interest Income<br />
Earned.<br />
CEMETERY FUND (Fund 45)<br />
The Cemetery Fund is one <strong>of</strong> the four funds in the Special Revenue Fund <strong>and</strong> is<br />
considered in the <strong>Annual</strong> Tax Levy each year. The <strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Huntley</strong> currently has a<br />
three (3) member Cemetery Board to h<strong>and</strong>le the plot sales <strong>and</strong> oversee the<br />
maintenance <strong>of</strong> the cemetery <strong>and</strong> maintain the plot books. Sources <strong>of</strong> revenues include<br />
Property Taxes, Interest Income <strong>and</strong> plot sales.<br />
PUBLIC LIABILITY FUND (Fund 46)<br />
The Public Liability Fund is one <strong>of</strong> the four funds in the Special Revenue Fund <strong>and</strong> is<br />
considered in the <strong>Annual</strong> Tax Levy each year. Revenues include Property Taxes <strong>and</strong><br />
Interest Income earned. The <strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Huntley</strong> liability insurance is monitored through<br />
this fund including deductibles on accident claims <strong>and</strong> the annual premium to McMRMA<br />
(McHenry County Municipal Risk Management Association) for the <strong>Village</strong>-wide liability<br />
insurance. No employee health or life insurance is funded through this fund.<br />
