and relative liver weight <strong>in</strong> animals at the highest dose. The apparently statistically significant<br />

reductions of thyroid weights <strong>in</strong> females (absolute at > 400 ppm, relative at 400 ppm) were not<br />

regarded as treatment-related, as there was no dose–response relationship for the relative thyroid<br />

weight. Histopathology of the thyroid gland revealed treatment-related hypertrophy of the follicular<br />

epithelium <strong>in</strong> males at 400 ppm and higher and <strong>in</strong> females at 1600 ppm, with statistical significance<br />

<strong>in</strong> both sexes at 1600 ppm.<br />
