Crnjanski's personal stNle has been called .<br />

sumatraism, both bN the author himselt and bN critics.<br />

The term is derived trom the title ot his poem<br />

"sumatra", which 1s tamous not onlN in itselt but also<br />

because ot the manitesto essaN which accompanied its<br />

tirst appearance "Ob;}aln;}en;}e 'Sumatre'" in 1920.<br />
