S<strong>in</strong>ce 2004 there has been an annual fishery-wide cap of 2,120 sets or until caps on turtle <strong>in</strong>teractions are reached, whichever cap is reached first. In 2006 the<br />

fishery reached a cap on loggerhead sea turtles after 3 months. From 1991-2001 vessels target<strong>in</strong>g swordfish or a comb<strong>in</strong>ation of swordfish <strong>and</strong> yellowf<strong>in</strong> tuna<br />

made a mean of 11.8 trips per year<br />
