general information on how an <strong>ACO</strong> shares savings with its members. We are proposing that<br />

certain information regarding the operations <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ACO</strong> would be subject to public reporting to<br />

the extent administratively feasible and permitted by law. Specifically, we propose that the<br />

following information regarding the <strong>ACO</strong> be publicly reported:<br />

• Name and location.<br />

• Primary contact.<br />

• Organizational information including--<br />

++ <strong>ACO</strong> participants;<br />

++ Identification <strong>of</strong> <strong>ACO</strong> participants in joint ventures between <strong>ACO</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essionals and<br />

hospitals;<br />

++ Identification <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ACO</strong> participant representatives on its governing body; and<br />

++ Associated committees and committee leadership.<br />

• Shared savings information including--<br />

++ Shared savings performance payment received by <strong>ACO</strong>s or shared losses payable to<br />

us; and<br />

++ Total proportion <strong>of</strong> shared savings invested in infrastructure, redesigned care<br />

processes and other resources required to support the three-part aim goals <strong>of</strong> better health for<br />

populations, better care for individuals and lower growth in expenditures, including the<br />

proportion distributed among <strong>ACO</strong> participants.<br />

• Quality performance standard scores.<br />

In the interest <strong>of</strong> transparency, it is important that the <strong>ACO</strong> make available to the public<br />

information on its accountability for the quality, cost, and the overall care furnished to its<br />

assigned beneficiary population. We are proposing that each <strong>ACO</strong> be responsible for making
