(3) An IM team cons<strong>is</strong>ting of USFWS, NMFS, the States, and the Tribes, in<br />

consultation with Reclamation, may assess current and anticipated future<br />

species needs:<br />

a. Shortnose and Lost River suckers (ESA-endangered and<br />

threatened)<br />

b. Coho (ESA-threatened)<br />

c. Chinook (Magnuson/Stevens Act)<br />

d. Other Tribal Trust species and ecosystem needs<br />

e. Assess the potential effects of UKL elevation and <strong>Klamath</strong> River<br />

flow on species of concern.<br />

(4) IM Tech Team forwards bi-weekly requests to Reclamation for potential<br />

adjustment to IGD releases, up or down, to balance current bi-weekly species<br />

needs and available water.<br />

October through March<br />

(5) Minimum IGD flows will be maintained or exceeded through the period of<br />

egg incubation to reduce the likelihood of de-watering redds: Reclamation<br />

believes that these minimum flows, for each of the following months, are not<br />

likely to jeopardize the l<strong>is</strong>ted coho salmon.<br />

a. October = 1,300 cfs<br />

b. November = 1,300 cfs<br />

c. December= 1,300 cfs<br />

d. January = 1,300 cfs<br />

e. February= 1,300 cfs<br />

The NMFS, USFWS and Reclamation will use the guidelines in Tables 1-6 and 1-<br />

7 to help determine the d<strong>is</strong>tribution of IM water to UKL and the <strong>Klamath</strong> River.<br />
