A P P E N D I X A Command Reference ping ip_address | hostname size changes the byte size, specified by size, of the echo request packet payload. The total packet size will be eight bytes larger than size. A host name can be substituted for an IP address, if DNS is enabled. ping ip_address | hostname size count specifies the number of packets to send. If count is used, then size must also be present.
