Figure 15 shows the performance of quintiles 1, 3 and 5 across Grades 1-3 in Language. Figure 15: Quintiles 1, 3 and 5 performances across grades in Foundation Phase: Language The performance of learners per quintile ranking shows that learners in well-resourced schools perform better than those that are in under resourced schools; however there seem to be no gap in performance between adequate and poorly resourced schools.
