Figure 22 indicates Grade 6 learner achievement by gender in Mathematics, Home Language and First Additional Language. Figure 22: Grade 6 achievement in Mathematics and Language by gender Figure 22 reveals that Grade 6 female learners achieved higher than male learners in both Mathematics and Language. It further displays that there is a small difference (2%) in Mathematics percentage marks and significant difference of 6% and 5% in HL and FAL respectively. 78
