Over-riding weight restrictions (80)<br />

Former Schedules 6 <strong>and</strong> 7 are assimilatedinto<br />

Schedule 11.References to plates <strong>and</strong> plated weights<br />

are omitted <strong>and</strong> eligibility is relatedsimply to actual<br />

weights <strong>and</strong> braking performance. Other consequential<br />

simplificationsare made.<br />

<strong>The</strong> braking requirement relevant to Schedule 11 is<br />

referred to as“the relevant braking requirement” <strong>and</strong><br />

is defined, in simplifiedterms, in regulation 3.Special<br />

references to temporarily imported vehicles are omitted.<br />

Paragraphs (i) <strong>and</strong> (j) of regulation 81are drafted so<br />

<strong>and</strong> ovedrall length in regulation 3. <strong>Regulations</strong> 81(k)<br />

<strong>and</strong> 82(10)are extended to horticultural <strong>and</strong> forestry<br />

73 Number of trailersIt is made clear that when agricultural<br />

motor vehicles draw non-agroculturaltrailers the mormal<br />

rules for other motor vehicles apply.<br />

84 130 — Trailers drawn by motor cycles <strong>The</strong> exemption forthe<br />

drawing of broken down motor cycles is extended to<br />

include the whole of paragraph (1)(e).<br />

85 137A — Trailers drawn by agricultural motor vehicles<br />

86 128 72 Distances between motorvehicles <strong>and</strong> trailers <strong>The</strong><br />

limitation to causes exceeding 1.5m isextended to tracklaying<br />
