Judicial Business<br />

1. Roberts (FC) (Appellant) v. Parole Board (Respondents) (England)— The appeal of Harry<br />

Maurice Roberts was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order<br />

VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 10th January 2005.<br />

2. Serco Limited (Respondents) v. Lawson (Appellant)— The petition of the Foreign and<br />

Commonwealth OYce praying for leave to intervene in the said appeal was presented and<br />

referred to an Appeal Committee.<br />

3. AE (FC) and another (Appellants) v. Secretary of State for the Home Department (Respondent)—<br />

The petition of the OYce of the <strong>United</strong> Nations High Commissioner for Refugees praying for<br />

leave to intervene in the said appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.<br />

4. Gillies (AP) (Appellant) v. Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (Respondent) (Scotland)—<br />

The appeal was set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee.<br />

5. Percy (AP) (Appellant) v. Church of Scotland Board of National Mission (Respondents)<br />

(Scotland)— The appeal was set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee.<br />

6. Appeal Committee—The 3rd Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following<br />

Order was made—<br />

Gardner (Applicant) v. Her Majesty’s Commissioners of Customs and Excise<br />

(Respondents)— That permission to appeal be refused because the application is inadmissible.<br />

7. Appeal Committee—The 4th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following<br />

Orders were made—<br />

R (on the application of Paul Rackham Limited) (Petitioners) v. SwaVham Magistrates’ Court<br />

(Respondents)— That the petition be dismissed as inadmissible.<br />

OYce of the King’s Prosecutor, Brussels (Respondents) v. Armas (Petitioner) and others—<br />

That leave to appeal be given; and that the petition of appeal be lodged by 13th December.<br />

R v. Misra and another (Petitioners)— That leave to appeal be refused.<br />
