10. Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) Bill—It was moved by the Lord McIntosh of Haringey that<br />

the bill be now read a second time; the motion was agreed to and the Committee was<br />

negatived; then, Standing Order 47 having been dispensed with, the bill was read a third time<br />

and passed.<br />

11. Education: Tomlinson Report (2°-hour debate)—It was moved by the Baroness Sharp of<br />

Guildford that there be laid before the House papers relating to the Tomlinson Report and to<br />

ways in which more 16-19 year olds can be encouraged to participate in education and<br />

training; after debate, the motion was (by leave of the House) withdrawn.<br />

12. Iraq (2°-hour debate)—It was moved by the Lord Garden that there be laid before the House<br />

papers relating to the economic, political and security developments in Iraq since the<br />

intervention in 2003 by <strong>United</strong> <strong>Kingdom</strong> armed forces; after debate, the motion was (by leave<br />

of the House) withdrawn.<br />

13. Regulatory Reform (Trading Stamps) Order 2005—It was moved by the Lord Triesman that the<br />

draft Regulatory Reform Order laid before the House on 17th January be approved; after<br />

debate, the motion was agreed to.<br />

14. Companies Act 1985 (Operating and Financial Review and Directors’ Report etc.) Regulations<br />

2005—It was moved by the Lord Triesman that the draft Regulations laid before the House<br />

on 12th January be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.<br />

The House was adjourned at eight minutes before nine o’clock<br />

till tomorrow, a quarter before ten o’clock for judicial business,<br />

eleven o’clock for public business.<br />
