Judicial Business
1. Davidson (Appellant) v. Scottish Ministers (Respondents) (Scotland)—The appeal of Scott
Davidson was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the
statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 19th April.
2. Horton (Appellant) v. Sadler and others (Respondents)—The petition of the appellant praying that
the time for lodging the statement and appendix and setting down the cause for hearing might
be extended to 19th April (the agents for the respondents consenting thereto) was presented;
and it was ordered as prayed.
3. Appeal Committee—The 30th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following
Orders were made—
R (on the application of Kent Pharmaceuticals Limited) (Petitioners) v. Director of the Serious
Fraud OYce (Respondent)—That leave to appeal be refused; that the respondent be at liberty
to apply for his costs in accordance with direction 5.1(d); and, if the application is granted,
that the amount thereof be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the
parties.
Her Majesty’s Commissioners of Customs and Excise (Respondents) v. Barclays Bank plc
(Petitioners)—That leave to appeal be given; and that the petition of appeal be lodged by 22nd
March.
Abumujor (Petitioner) v. Kingston University (Respondents)—That the petition be dismissed
as inadmissible.
4. Appeal Committee—The 31st Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following
Order was made—
Roberts (FC) (Appellant) v. Parole Board (Respondents)—That the petition of Roger Smith,
Director of Justice for and on behalf of the Executive Board and Members of Justice and
Justice that they might be heard or otherwise intervene in the said appeal be allowed.
