The Contractor shall ensure that all flammable materials are used and stored in accordance with the
Explosives and Dangerous Goods Act and any other statute or regulation governing storage and use
of such materials, and shall obtain such permits and licenses and pay all relevant fees and charges.

VANDALISM
The Contractor shall allow for all reasonable measures to protect the Works and the operations
therein from acts of vandalism. The Contractor shall allow for any remedial action required as a
consequence of such acts. Vandalism shall not be an excluded risk.

HOURS OF WORK
Unless with prior approval in writing from the Engineer, the Contractor shall not conduct works on
Sundays, Public Holidays or between the hours of 6 pm on any day and 7 am on the following day
except those works required in respect to safety or maintenance of Site conditions, such as
dewatering activities.

CODES AND AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS
Where an Australian Standard is specified, the Contractor shall construct and conduct the Works in
accordance with the provisions of that standard. Where an Australian Standard has not been
specified, the Contractor shall allow for the construction of the Works in compliance with the
provisions of the Australian Standard covering the class or type of work being constructed.
In the event that a Standard other than an Australian Standard is specified, the Contractor shall allow
for complying with the provisions of the specified Standard. The Standard applying shall be the latest
edition at the time of commencement of the Contract.
Copies of Australian Standards may be purchased from the Standards Association of Australia.
