Where existing buildings are located within 50m of any work area or where buildings may be affected
by the works, the Contractor shall have a dilapidation survey of each building undertaken by the
Contractor's insurers prior to commencement of work. A copy of the survey report shall be provided
to the Engineer within seven (7) days of its completion.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN
The Contractor shall prepare a Traffic Management Plan for all works that abut or are on existing
public roads in accordance with Main Roads WA Traffic Management for Roadworks Code of Practice
and shall obtain approval of the Traffic Management Plan from the controlling Road Authority.
The Contractor shall follow the approved Traffic Management Plan during the conduct of the work.

SPECIFICATION TO BE TREATED AS A WHOLE
Where the specification is separated into titled sections it is for convenience only and not to dictate or
determine the trade or craft involved. Such separations shall not operate to make the Shire an arbiter
for the division of responsibility between the Contractor and Sub-Contractors, and between Sub-
Contractors, nor shall separation relieve the Contractor of responsibility for the satisfactory completion
of the entire work.
