Donor Relationships in Fundraising
The funding relationship between the charitable sector, corporations
and individual donors is integral to fundraising. Learn the needs and
motivations of donors (corporations or individuals) and the key to
sustaining long-term partnerships with the non-profit sector. Identify,
analyze and rate potential prospects and prepare a solicitation approach
accordingly.

Fundraising as Management Process
Discover how to develop realistic marketing, communication, public
relations and financial plans that reflect the budgetary, accountability
and transparency obligations of an organization. You will also explore
how to inspire general public interest and establish trust in an organization’s

Independent Project – Fundraising
Apply the concepts learned in the Fundraising Management program
through a series of reports. In collaboration with a non-profit organization,
you will analyze existing fundraising practices and make recommendations
for enhancements. Acting as a member of a Board of
Directors, you will provide ongoing feedback to colleagues and help
to critique the final report. This course should be taken last in the
Fundraising Management Certificate.

Introduction to Fundraising
Gain an overview of the principles, ethics, and practices of professional
fundraising and examine the thought and preparation required
before an organization can engage in successful fundraising. Examine
the evolution of fundraising in North America, the role of the voluntary
sector and the changing nature of a fundraising professional’s role. You
will also analyze the needs of an organization to determine the best
fundraising approaches.

Not for Profit Leadership I: Operational Frameworks
Through discussion and practical projects, gain an understanding of the
fundamental principles, issues and best practices for effective leadership
and management of a not-for-profit sector organization. The course
provides context-specific knowledge and skills for current executives,
new or aspiring non-profit managers, members of boards or career
changers.
