Onsite Wastewater Professional Technician Training New! These ten courses are offered in partnership with the Canadian Onsite Wastewater Institute (COWI). Upon successful completion of all courses, participants will be awarded with an Onsite Wastewater Professional Tech (OWPTech) Certificate. This course introduces participants to the most commonly used methods to locate, expose and test components of an onsite system including tanks treatment systems chambers, gravity-fed fields, and pressure distribution mounds. Inspection knowledge reduces the risk of missing critical items that can become serious problems. Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive a credit with COWI’s Onsite Wastewater Professional Tech (OWPTech) Program. ENVR 88 $850.29 Lindsay (Frost) Fri – Sat, Oct 4 – 6 8:30am – 4:30pm Onsite Grease Traps & Interceptors This course is very important for system designers and installers regarding the use of grease traps and interceptors for commercial and industrial onsite wastewater applications. Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive credit with COWI’s Onsite Wastewater Professional Tech (OWPTech) Program. ENVR 100 $405.02 Lindsay (Frost) Sat, Oct 19 8:30am – 4:30pm Onsite Pumps and Controls This course highlights the pumps used in onsite wastewater distribution systems for pressure systems and dosed systems, as well as various options currently available to control both time dose and demand systems, determine pump curves and trouble shoot pump systems. Further, it highlights installation tips and errors that contribute to short system life. Knowing how to identify the right pump for a system, size it properly and manage the flow is a critical skill set for onsite wastewater technicians.
