acquired in other courses, examine the broad aspects of off highway<br />
vehicle recreation, planning and construction of OHV trails and facilities<br />

Ontario Hunter Education<br />
This course covers the Hunter Education Material as laid out by the<br />
Ministry of Natural Resources Policy. It includes information on the role<br />
of the hunter, Hunting Laws, Bow and Gun Hunting procedures as well<br />
as safety issues. Upon successful completion of the course and examination,<br />
you will be eligible to apply for the Hunter Safety Certification.<br />

Reptile Biology and Identification<br />
Gain fundamental knowledge of reptile reproduction, behaviour and<br />
physiology in the context of wildlife conservation, ecological monitoring,<br />
ecosystem assessment and restoration in Ontario. You will also learn<br />
how to accurately identify Ontario’s reptiles and gain an understanding<br />
of their distribution, habitat preferences and status in Ontario.<br />

Restricted Radio Operator<br />
As holder of a Restricted Radio Operator (Aeronautical) Certificate, you<br />
may act as a radiotelephone operator on any aeronautical land or mobile<br />
station. Learn to operate radiotelephone equipment, operations procedures,<br />
domestic regulations, and safety regulations. The written and oral<br />
exam from Industry Canada will be administered (free of charge) during<br />
the class. Certificates will be issued by Industry Canada upon successful<br />
completion of both exams. You MUST bring a government issued photo<br />
ID (e.g. Driver’s license or passport).<br />

Is This for You? This certificate provides a full range of trails theory and<br />
skills training available to trails groups, communities, employers, and<br />
government agencies.<br />
Certificate Highlights: This certificate takes place at <strong>Fleming</strong>’s Frost<br />
Campus, one of Canada’s leading environmental education institutions.<br />
Offered on weekends, the program will provide insight and best<br />
practices into the design, construction, and maintenance of trails. You<br />
will study and gain practical experiences by applying techniques that<br />
can enhance, rehabilitate, and protect trails and greenways. Interpretive<br />
studies of the various fauna and flora will be explored from a sustainability<br />
perspective.<br />
Admission Requirements: The minimum admission requirement for<br />
entrance into this program is: 19 years of age or older, or an Ontario<br />
Secondary School Diploma or its equivalent.<br />
