Fill the water tank with fresh water. Use a water hose, a water canister with<br />

<br />

a funnel or similar for filling.<br />

Set all the water taps to "Hot" and open them. The water pump is turned<br />

<br />

on. The warm water pipes are filled with water.<br />

Keep the taps open until the water flowing out of the taps has no bubbles<br />

<br />

in it. This is the only way to ensure that the boiler is full of water.<br />

Set all water taps to "Cold" and leave them open. This will fill the cold water<br />

<br />

pipes with water.<br />

Keep the taps open until the water flowing out of the taps has no bubbles<br />

<br />

in it.<br />

Close all water taps.<br />

11.5 Emptying the water system<br />

If the vehicle is not heated when there is risk of frost, empty the entire water<br />

<br />

system. Leave the water taps on in central position. Leave all drain cocks<br />

open. This will avoid frost damage to appliances and to the vehicle.<br />

Always switch off the water pump on the panel when emptying the water<br />

<br />

system. Otherwise the water pump runs until it overheats or the battery is<br />

empty.<br />

To empty and ventilate the water system, proceed as follows. This will avoid<br />

frost damage:<br />

Position the vehicle horizontally.<br />

<br />

Switch off the water pump on the panel (press " ").<br />

<br />

Switch off the 12 V power supply on the panel.<br />

<br />

Shut off the boiler (see section 10.4).<br />

<br />

Open all drain cocks.<br />

<br />

Unscrew the cap of the water tank.<br />

<br />

Remove the cap from the waste water drain neck and open the drain cock.<br />

<br />

Open all water taps and set to the central position.<br />

<br />

Hang the shower handset up in the shower position.<br />

<br />

Check whether the water tank is completely empty.<br />

<br />

Empty the waste water tank. Take note of the environmental tips in this<br />

<br />

chapter.<br />

Empty Thetford cassette. Take note of the environmental tips in this<br />

<br />

chapter.<br />

Clean the water tank and then rinse it out thoroughly.<br />

<br />

Let the water system dry for as long as possible.<br />

<br />

After emptying, leave all water taps on in the central position.<br />

<br />

Leave all drain cocks open.<br />

<br />

11.6 Toilet compartment<br />

Do not transport any loads in the shower tray. The shower tray or other<br />

items of equipment in the toilet compartment can be damaged.<br />
