Gas system
Construction of the unit
The Triomatic switching facility consists of two gas pressure regulators
(Fig. 47,2 and 5) and a system regulator (Fig. 47,4). The primary bottle gas
pressure regulator (Fig. 47,2) is identified by a green identification plate, the
reserve bottle gas pressure regulator (Fig. 47,5) is identified by a red plate.
The operating status indicator (Fig. 47,3) on the system regulator can check
the gas system for tightness. The gas pressure regulators are fitted with combination
connections and permit connection to all gas bottle sizes (3 kg to
33 kg).
To prevent gas system faults during winter operation, the gas pressure regulators
can be heated. The system may also be supplemented by using one or
two defrosters (SE).
If the switching facility is operated with only one gas bottle: Connect the gas
bottle to the gas pressure regulator for the primary bottle.
Operating modes
The Triomatic switching facility has two operating modes:
Winter operation "On and heating"

Summer operation "On"

Fig. 48
Operating unit
Putting into operation: Open the regulator tap (Fig. 47,6) of the reserve bottle (Fig. 47,7).
Open the regulator tap (Fig. 47,1) of the primary bottle (Fig. 47,8).

Both gas pressure regulators are now ventilated. The system regulator
(Fig. 47,4) supplies the appliances with the respective pressure, regardless
of whether the primary or reserve bottle is supplying gas. A green or
red field on the operating status indicator (Fig. 47,3) shows which gas
bottle is supplying gas.
Switch on the Triomatic switching facility at the operating unit (Fig. 48). To

do so, set the rocker switch (Fig. 48,4) to winter operation "On and heating"
(Fig. 48,1) or to summer operation "On" (Fig. 48,3).
Switching off: Set the rocker switch (Fig. 48,4) to " " (Fig. 48,2).
Open the regulator tap (Fig. 47,6) on the reserve bottle and close the regulator
tap (Fig. 47,1) on the primary

bottle.
Remote display
Changing gas bottles
The indicator lamps on the operating unit (Fig. 48) indicate in the vehicle interior
which gas bottle is being used.
Green indicator lamp: Primary bottle

Red indicator lamp: Reserve bottle

If the operating status indicator (Fig. 47,3) is within the red range, the primary
bottle (Fig. 47,8) must be changed.
