responsibilities under the referral. The<br />
ADP adopts and reflects the World Anti-<br />
Doping Code (Code) which is annexed to<br />
and forms part <strong>of</strong> this ADP.<br />
11.2 ANTI-DOPING DEFINITIONS<br />
11.2.0.1 Athlete means:<br />
(a) For purposes <strong>of</strong> Doping Control,<br />
any Person who participates in<br />
sport at the international level<br />
(as defined by each International<br />
Federation) or national level (as<br />
defined by each National Anti-Doping<br />
Organisation) and any additional<br />
Person who participates in sport<br />
at a lower level if designated by<br />
the Person’s National Anti-Doping<br />
Organisation. For purposes <strong>of</strong> antidoping<br />
information and education,<br />
any Person who participates in sport<br />
under the authority <strong>of</strong> any Signatory,<br />
government, or other sports<br />
organisation accepting the Code; or<br />
(b) Any Person who:<br />
(i) Is registered with MA or 1 <strong>of</strong> its<br />
Members; or<br />
(ii) Participates, or has in the<br />
previous 8 years participated, in<br />
any sporting activity conducted,<br />
authorised, recognised or<br />
controlled, either directly or<br />
indirectly, by MA or a body<br />
affiliated with MA; or<br />
(iii) Is defined as an Athlete under<br />
the NAD Scheme; or<br />
(iv) Has otherwise agreed to be<br />
bound by this ADP.<br />
11.2.0.2 Code means the World Anti-Doping Code.<br />
11.2.0.3 IF means an international federation<br />
recognised by the International Olympic<br />
Committee or the General Assembly <strong>of</strong><br />
International <strong>Sport</strong>s Federations as the<br />
entity responsible for governing that sport<br />
internationally.<br />
11.2.0.4 Member means a Person who, or a body<br />
which, is a member <strong>of</strong> MA; a Person who,<br />
or a body which, is affiliated with MA; or a<br />
Person who is a member <strong>of</strong> a body which<br />
is a member <strong>of</strong> or affiliated with MA.<br />
11.2.0.5 National Anti-Doping (NAD) Scheme<br />
means the National Anti-Doping Scheme<br />
as defined under the ASADA Act.<br />
11.2.0.6 NSO means a national or regional entity<br />
which is a member <strong>of</strong> or is recognised by<br />
an IF as the entity governing that IF’s sport<br />
in that nation or region or is recognised<br />
by the ASC as a National <strong>Sport</strong>ing<br />
Organisation. This includes National<br />
<strong>Sport</strong>ing Organisations for Athletes with a<br />
Disability.<br />
11.2.0.7 Prohibited List means the List identifying<br />
the Prohibited Substances and Prohibited<br />
Methods which is published and revised<br />
by WADA as described in Article 4.1 <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Code.<br />
11.3 MA’S POSITION ON DOPING<br />
11.3.0.1 MA condemns the Use <strong>of</strong> Prohibited<br />
Substances and Methods in sport. The<br />
Use <strong>of</strong> Prohibited Substances and<br />
Methods is contrary to the ethics <strong>of</strong> sport<br />
and potentially harmful to the health<br />
<strong>of</strong> athletes. Doping is fundamentally<br />
contrary to the spirit <strong>of</strong> sport.<br />
11.4 Anti-Doping Policy application<br />
11.4.0.1 This ADP applies to Athletes, Athlete<br />
Support Personnel and Participants as<br />
defined under the Code. It also applies to<br />
Members, employees and contractors <strong>of</strong><br />
MA and any other Person who has agreed<br />
to be bound by it.<br />
11.5 ANTI-DOPING POLICY OBLIGATIONS<br />
11.5.0.1 The persons identified in GCR 11.4.0.1<br />
are bound by this ADP as a condition <strong>of</strong><br />
their membership, participation and/or<br />
involvement in <strong>Motorcycling</strong>. Athletes,<br />
Athlete Support Personnel and/or<br />
Participants must comply with this ADP<br />
and the anti-doping rules as prescribed<br />
under the ASADA Act and Regulations. In<br />
particular:<br />
11.5.0.2 Athletes must:<br />
a) Know and comply with all anti-doping<br />
policies and rules applicable to<br />
them. These include, but may not<br />
be limited to this ADP, the FIM Antidoping<br />
Policy and the National Anti-<br />
Doping (NAD) Scheme;<br />
b) Read and understand the Prohibited<br />
List as it relates to them;<br />
c) Be available for Sample collection<br />
