Definitions <strong>and</strong> Terms <strong>and</strong> Conditions<br />
Definitions:<br />
St<strong>and</strong>ard Rates<br />
The st<strong>and</strong>ard rate applies to organizations <strong>of</strong>fering programs <strong>and</strong> services for a fee with the intention <strong>of</strong><br />
making personal or organizational gain or where admission fees are charged <strong>and</strong> the community is not<br />
the main beneficiary <strong>and</strong> the proceeds generated are not 100% directed to a not for pr<strong>of</strong>it organization<br />
or registered charity.<br />
Discount Rates<br />
A discount rate is available to not for pr<strong>of</strong>it groups, charitable organizations or registered societies<br />
organizing leisure opportunities or community services that do not charge admissions <strong>and</strong>/or have no<br />
intention <strong>of</strong> making personal financial gains.<br />
Inside Front or Back Cover<br />
A rate for full colour pages – outside back cover <strong>and</strong> inside back <strong>and</strong> front covers are available.<br />
A full page is approximately 7” wide x 9 ½” high but may vary depending on printer requirements.<br />
Body<br />
All ads in the body <strong>of</strong> the guide are featured in black <strong>and</strong> white <strong>and</strong> typically appear towards the end <strong>of</strong><br />
the guide. The number <strong>of</strong> ads accepted depends on available space in the guide <strong>and</strong> size may vary<br />
depending on printer requirements. All ads need to be provided in pdf format.<br />
Terms <strong>and</strong> Conditions:<br />
Booking <strong>and</strong> Payment<br />
An Advertising Agreement Form must be completed <strong>and</strong> returned with payment to the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong><br />
<strong>George</strong> Service Centre. Customers choose the ad size that best meets their needs <strong>and</strong> confirm the<br />
space prior to the specified deadline date by returning their completed form to the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong><br />
<strong>George</strong>. Ads are not confirmed until payment is made.<br />
General Timelines<br />
The Active Living Guide is printed <strong>and</strong> distributed two (2) times per year:<br />
The Fall/Winter Active Living Guide is distributed in early September<br />
The Spring/Summer Active Living Guide is distributed in early March<br />
Advertising opportunity letters are sent out in November with a deadline <strong>of</strong> mid-late December <strong>and</strong><br />
again in May with a deadline <strong>of</strong> mid–late June.<br />
Placement <strong>and</strong> Content<br />
Ad placement within the Active Living Guide is at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>George</strong>. Ads are<br />
accepted on a first come first serve basis. Ad space is limited <strong>and</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>George</strong> cannot<br />
guarantee acceptance <strong>of</strong> an advertisement or its location.
