Trade Show<br />
Exhibits <strong>of</strong> products <strong>and</strong> services that is not open to the public. An exhibition <strong>of</strong> products <strong>and</strong>/or services held<br />
for members <strong>of</strong> a common or related industry. Not open to the general public.<br />
Consumer Shows<br />
Exhibitions that are open to the public. Exhibitions open to the public usually requiring an entrance fee.<br />
Events are primarily spectator focused such as concerts, circuses, major junior sports competitions <strong>and</strong><br />
rodeos. Dates are secure once contract is signed <strong>and</strong> deposit paid. Tentative booking procedures apply.<br />
Additional cleaning or set up charges may be applied. All venue furniture <strong>and</strong> fixtures included. Additional<br />
equipment required will be charged as external equipment charges. Additional charges will be levied for event<br />
set-up <strong>and</strong> event service above regular st<strong>and</strong>ards. Set up day <strong>and</strong> tear down at half-day price. There may be a<br />
restriction in available set up <strong>and</strong> take down days. Event rates for promoters apply.<br />
Major Tenant (Summer Ice use)<br />
A Major Tenant is a renter that commits to a rental <strong>of</strong> a minimum <strong>of</strong> eight consecutive hours per day for five<br />
consecutive days per week. A commitment from a major tenant is required Thirty (30) days prior to the <strong>City</strong><br />
installing ice for summer rentals. Priority for scheduling will be given to major tenants.<br />
Minor Tenant (Summer Ice Use)<br />
A Minor Tenant is a renter that commits to greater than a minimum <strong>of</strong> three consecutive hours per day, but less<br />
than a eight consecutive hours per day for five consecutive days per week. The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>George</strong> reserves<br />
the right to cancel such bookings if combined daily bookings do not reach an equivalent <strong>of</strong> a minimum <strong>of</strong> eight<br />
hours per day. Eight hours per day for five days per week is required before ice will be installed for summer<br />
rentals. Priority for scheduling will be given to major tenants (Summer Ice use).<br />
Sustaining Ice Users<br />
An organization (e.g. PG Minor Hockey, PG Ringette, Blizzards Speed Skating Club) or an Adult Recreation<br />
Group that is scheduled on a regular weekly basis, throughout the regular season.<br />
Private Ice Users<br />
An organization or individual that uses space on an occasional basis only.<br />
Rate Definitions:<br />
St<strong>and</strong>ard Rate<br />
This rate is applied to all bookings. The st<strong>and</strong>ard rate applies to hourly adult or youth renters <strong>of</strong>fering<br />
programs for a fee, with the intention <strong>of</strong> personal or organizational gain <strong>and</strong>/or where admission fees are<br />
charged <strong>and</strong> the community is not the main beneficiary. It includes recreational rentals by private or<br />
commercial organizations.<br />
Discount Rate<br />
A discount rate is available to any <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>George</strong> based not-for-pr<strong>of</strong>it group, charitable organization or<br />
registered society with the primary purpose <strong>of</strong> community service where the local community is the beneficiary.<br />
Includes <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>George</strong> Departments <strong>and</strong> Committees <strong>of</strong> Council.<br />
Organizations are not eligible for this rate when hosting conferences, conventions <strong>and</strong>/or tradeshows.<br />
Recreation - Hourly Rates <strong>and</strong> Recreation Events – Secure/Non exclusive<br />
Hourly rates are used for recreational activities <strong>and</strong> Recreation Events – Secure/Non exclusive.<br />
Recreation Events – Secure <strong>and</strong> Exclusive <strong>and</strong> Performance <strong>and</strong> Trade/Consumer Show Events
