FY 2012 – We’re Off
• Governor McDonnell presented his budget
amendments for Fiscal Year 2012 on Friday,
December 17, 2010.
• FY 2012 is the second year of the Biennium.
• K – 12 Education is not a budget priority.
• Proposes:
◦ Reducing Average Daily Membership.
◦ Give professional employees a 3% raise and charge them 5%
for VRS. Paid for with local funds.
◦ Raising employer rate for VRS by “2%”.
◦ Eliminate Composite Index “Hold Harmless” - $219,760.
