SCIENTIFIC REPORT Physics Olympiads The Foundation has provided for two consecutive years its financial support to the “Olympiades de Physique”, a friendly contest in which High School students from all over France take part. The idea is to give the participants the opportunity to manage their own project, according to a proper scientific approach (involving bibliographic research, experimental activities, and results analysis). In 2010, the Foundation awarded the team from the French High School Regnault, which developed a micro-robot able to follow a line traced on the floor. In 2011, 3 girls from the High School Louis le Grand (Paris) demonstrated and explained the behaviour of Non- Newtonian fluids. They analysed astonishing observations collected with (dry or wet) corn starch or ketchup and even simulated these changing behaviour with specialised researchers.
