Plow<br />
Check Shear Mounts<br />
Check shear mounts for wear every 100 hours.<br />
Replace as needed.<br />
IMPORTANT: When replacing shear mounts,<br />
it is important to compress the shear mounts<br />
with the washers to prevent the shear mount<br />
from tearing.<br />
Test Plow Connector Pivots<br />
Test upper and lower connector pivots every 100<br />
hours.<br />
To test upper pivot:<br />
1. Lower plow to ground.<br />
2. Use plow lift control to put hydraulic load on<br />
pivot joints. Do not raise plow.<br />
3. As hydraulic load is applied and released,<br />
visually check joints for motion. If motion is<br />
observed, contact your <strong>Ditch</strong> <strong>Witch</strong> dealer.<br />
To test lower pivot:<br />
1. Lower plow to ground.<br />
2. Use hydraulic jack to place load on lower arm.<br />
3. As hydraulic load is applied and released, visually check joints for motion. If motion is observed,<br />
contact your <strong>Ditch</strong> <strong>Witch</strong> dealer.<br />
IMPORTANT: Lower plow blade to ground and visually inspect bushings and joints. Replace bushings if<br />
there is excessive motion.
