but not elleemed of equal Authority with the
Hebrew,
Moreover, to return to Mr. Allen^ he doth
give his ConcefTion, that it may have been ufed
in that fenfe, even by Greeh^ Auchois : For he
faith, * And tho' any Inftance ihould be found
* in prophane Writers of its being thus ufed
*by way of Antithefis, (I (hail leave him to be
correfted by another hand for the improper
