Sailing in the Hudson has given
me a new perspective on the NY
waterways and the beauty of
downtown Manhattan.
Speaking of perspective, the
club’s Honorable William Wall is
the perfect spot to enjoy the
views (and a cocktail!) while
watching the sunset across the
glass buildings. And this
privilege is available to all for a
nominal fee, not just club
members! I do not think a large
corporate giant headquartered
outside of NY could bring the
same passion for teaching,
respect for the community and
love of sailing to our lovely
marina. Thank you, Michael, for
your vision and hard work.

Honorable William Wall
The Honorable William Wall is one of our city’s greatest waterfront
attractions. This vessel is Manhattan Yacht Club’s floating clubhouse in
the harbor. She is two stories with an upper deck which is open to the
air and provides some of the best views in the city.
Beginning in 2010, Manhattan Yacht Club opened the Honorable William
Wall to the public on Saturdays. This was a great success and in 2013, the
clubhouse was opened to the public every day.
When the Honorable William Wall was opened to the public, The New
York Times wrote the first story.

Then more press followed. In 2013, the Downtown Alliance selected the
Honorable William Wall as Lower Manhattan’s #1 Secret Treasure.
