I am writing to express my
support of the renewal of your
agreement to run the North
Cove Marina. As a long-time
resident of Battery Park City, I
strongly feel that under your
management the marina has
become a vital part of our
community. I have good friends
who are members and love
being a part of the club. I have
had a great time on both the
Arabella and the William Wall
Clubhouse. There is no reason to
start over with a new manager
when things are going so well.

From November through April, the clubhouse is docked in North Cove
where it serves as the winter gathering spot for members. Educational
seminars are held every Tuesday evening and social gatherings are every
Thursday evening. In December, the upper deck of the clubhouse is
transformed into the Holiday Train Garden with more than $15,000 in
Lionel trains on display to delight and amaze kids of all ages who come to
visit Battery Park City.
The design for the Honorable William Wall design was begun in 2001 and
the project was initially derailed by 9/11. The Civic Capital Corporation
offered grants to programs stopped by 9/11 and the Honorable William
Wall project was selected as a recipient. Work resumed and the
clubhouse was opened in 2004, initially for members only.
