SCAG Non-Motorized RTP<br />

The Southern California Association <strong>of</strong> Governments' Non-Motorized Program is currently developing a<br />

Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian <strong>Plan</strong>. The program was kicked <strong>of</strong>f in August 2009 and is working towards<br />

improving transportation options, increasing safety and assisting with the SB 375 goals in reduction in<br />

greenhouse gases.<br />

Local Conservation Corp<br />

Local Conservation Corp services may be used in the implementation and maintenance <strong>of</strong> bicycle and<br />

pedestrian improvements. Conservation Corps crews typically provide services which may include, but are<br />

not limited to:<br />

• Sidewalk repair<br />

• Landscaping & tree-planting<br />

• Steam cleaning<br />

• Median maintenance<br />

• Pressure washing<br />

• Trail construction<br />

• Filling potholes<br />

• Urban park construction<br />

• Installing signs<br />

• Graffiti removal<br />

Local Conservation Corps <strong>of</strong>fices are located in <strong>Pomona</strong>, Norwalk, downtown Los Angeles and San<br />

Bernardino (Inland Empire).<br />
