The CertificateCount element is a required child element of the Certificates element in<br />

ResolveRecipients command responses that specifies the number of valid certificates that were<br />

found for the recipient.<br />

If a Status element (section 2.2.3.152.11) value of 8 is returned with the Certificates element, the<br />

CertificateCount element specifies the number of recipient certificates that were not returned.<br />

2.2.3.21 CertificateRetrieval<br />

The CertificateRetrieval element is an optional child element of the Options element in<br />

ResolveRecipients command requests that specifies whether S/MIME certificates SHOULD be<br />

returned by the server for each resolved recipient.<br />

2 Retrieve the full certificate for each resolved recipient.<br />

3 Retrieve the mini certificate for each resolved recipient.<br />

2.2.3.22 Certificates<br />

The Certificates element is used in the following command requests and responses:<br />

•ResolveRecipients command responses (section 2.2.2.13.2)<br />

•ValidateCert command requests (section 2.2.2.20.1)<br />

The definition of the Certificates element differs according to the context in which it is used. For<br />

more details, see section 2.2.3.22.1 and section 2.2.3.22.2.<br />
