The following sections show how to query the server for updates by using the Ping command<br />

(section 2.2.2.11).<br />

4.8.1 Ping <strong>Command</strong> Request<br />

The following example shows the Ping command request (section 2.2.2.11.1) sent from the client to<br />

the server to query for new e-mail received in the folder that has an ping:Id (section 2.2.3.76)<br />

The following example shows a typical Ping command response (section 2.2.2.11.2) when the<br />
