4.9.2 Response<br />

The following example shows the GetItemEstimate command response (section 2.2.2.7.2) sent<br />

from the server to the client. A getitemestimate:Status element (section 2.2.3.152.6) value of 1<br />

is returned to indicate that the GetItemEstimate request (section 2.2.2.7.1) was completed<br />

successfully. The getitemestimate:CollectionId element (section 2.2.3.29.1) identifies the folder<br />

that was queried, and the getitemestimate:Estimate element (section 2.2.3.59) indicates the<br />

number of items that require synchronization in the folder.<br />

4.10 Fetching E-Mail and Attachments by Using the ItemOperations <strong>Command</strong><br />

The ItemOperations command (section 2.2.2.8) enables the client to retrieve PIM items and<br />

attachments (in addition to document library items and search results) outside the Sync command<br />

(section 2.2.2.19) context.<br />

The following sections contain examples that focus on retrieval of items and attachments, following<br />

a simple request and response model. The following figure shows the request and response model<br />

used in fetching e-mail and attachments.<br />
