4.13.2 Deleting Folders by Using the FolderDelete <strong>Command</strong><br />

The following sections show how to delete a folder by using the FolderDelete command (section<br />

2.2.2.3).<br />

4.13.2.1 Request<br />

The following example shows a FolderDelete command request (section 2.2.2.3.1) that is sent<br />

from the client to the server to delete a folder. The folderhierarchy:SyncKey element (section<br />

2.2.3.156.1) value in the request is set to 2, which is the folderhierarchy:SyncKey element value<br />

returned in the last FolderCreate response (section 4.13.1.2). The folderhierarchy:ServerId<br />

element (section 2.2.3.141.2) value identifies which folder to delete.<br />

4.13.2.2 Response<br />

The following example shows the FolderDelete command response (section 2.2.2.3.2) sent from<br />

the server to the client. A folderhierarchy:Status element (section 2.2.3.152.3) value of 1 is<br />

returned to indicate that the folder deletion was successful. The folderhierarchy:SyncKey element<br />

(section 2.2.3.156.1) value has been incremented in the response, and this value is to be used in<br />

the next FolderSync request (section 2.2.2.19.1), FolderCreate request (section 2.2.2.2.1),<br />

FolderDelete request (section 2.2.2.3.1), or FolderUpdate request (section 2.2.2.5.1).<br />

4.13.3 Updating Folders by Using the FolderUpdate <strong>Command</strong><br />

The following sections show how to update a folder by using the FolderUpdate command (section<br />

2.2.2.5).<br />

4.13.3.1 Request<br />

The following example shows a FolderUpdate command request (section 2.2.2.5.1) sent from the<br />

client to the server to update a folder. This request is changing the display name of the folder to<br />
