The Castleton Loclge of Good Teinplars, organizetl some time ago,
claims a large membership, and is prolific in good results. A reasonable
effort failed to secure a summary of recorcls.
Edmarcl Somers, of Castleton, receiving $8 per month, was the only
pensioner there in 1883.
Cbmp G~ove, partly in this township and in Marsllall conn ty, is one
of the ancient settlements of the Spoon river clistrict. There is the old
