There will be a short-term minor negative
impact during the construction phase as
there may be noise, air quality, traffic and
visual impacts for nearby residents,
businesses and recreational visitors.

of new infrastructure to the visual
landscape (monopole). Visual impacts
have been assessed as low-moderate.
With the proposed mitigation measures in

traffic and visual impacts resulting during
construction.
In the long term, there will be the addition
of new infrastructure to the visual
landscape. Visual impacts have been
assessed as low-moderate.
The site is located on the eastern side of
the railway corridor near the heritagelisted
Como rail bridge. While the new
monopole will be visible for people
coming south across the bridge, the
monopole is consistent with other
structures in the visual environment. The
monopole will not detract from the
aesthetic of heritage value, or affect the
functionality of the bridge.
