on motor choice. If no controller is selected in (13). below, it will choose the<br />

DMCLDC for MRB motor; MSD for MRS motor; or SSD for MRV motor <strong>and</strong><br />

configuration string is complete.<br />

* NOTE: For XY <strong>and</strong> XJ options, customer must provide full endface <strong>and</strong> shaft dimensions<br />

prior to ordering actuator. Customer motors must be directly interchangeable with <strong>Tol</strong>-O-<br />

Power Cable (6 meters), Controller Cable (4 meters) <strong>and</strong> Encoder Cable are included by<br />

specifying the encoder cable length.<br />

The following example describes a: U.S. st<strong>and</strong>ard B3S10 screw-drive actuator with a solid, st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

rolled nut <strong>and</strong> a lead screw pitch of 2 turns per inch <strong>and</strong> a stroke of 30 inches. Actuator options<br />

include one set of tube supports, three Hall-effect sinking switches with 5-meter leads <strong>and</strong> a in-line<br />

motor mounting configuration.<br />

Motor selected is an MRV232 brushless servo motor. Controller selected is a SSC21 for a two axis<br />

application with the 2nd axis requiring a stepper drive. Because an MRV brushless servo motor has<br />

been selected, the configurator will automatically select the SSD drive for this application. The SSD<br />

drive requires a specified length of the encoder cable <strong>and</strong> in this a 4-meter cable has been selected<br />

along with a joystick operator interface.<br />
