down <strong>to</strong> us by <strong>the</strong> saints. “…St. Athanasius <strong>the</strong><br />

Apos<strong>to</strong>lic...”, who was <strong>the</strong> protec<strong>to</strong>r of <strong>the</strong> Orthodox faith.<br />

Remember what is said of him: “If it had not been for<br />

Athanasius, <strong>the</strong> whole world would have become Arians.”<br />

Thank God for preserving <strong>the</strong> true faith through St.<br />

Athanasius <strong>the</strong> Great, who resembled <strong>the</strong> apostles in <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

struggle.<br />

“…St. Peter <strong>the</strong> martyr and high priest…”, remember his<br />

love for his people and his fear for <strong>the</strong>m when he advised <strong>the</strong><br />

jailer <strong>to</strong> dig <strong>the</strong> jail <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> rear and take him <strong>to</strong> his<br />
