Epistle is universal, and not specific. St. Jude's Epistle was<br />

sent <strong>to</strong> those who are called sanctified by God <strong>the</strong> Fa<strong>the</strong>r,<br />

and preserved in Jesus Christ (Jude 1:1).<br />

iii. The Praxis (Acts): is read by a deacon, because it is <strong>the</strong><br />

Book of <strong>the</strong> Apostles' struggle, where <strong>the</strong>y sanctified <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

lives and blood. It is also <strong>the</strong> Book of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit's work<br />

in <strong>the</strong> church.<br />

This does not mean that <strong>the</strong>re are priorities of readings, or<br />

that some are more important or beneficial than o<strong>the</strong>rs,<br />

because, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and<br />

is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for connection, for<br />

instruction in righteous" (2 Timothy 3:16), but it is just a<br />

matter of discipline.<br />

iv. The Sinixarium: this is a his<strong>to</strong>rical book, so it should be<br />

read by <strong>the</strong> priest himself, <strong>to</strong> be given <strong>the</strong> image of <strong>the</strong><br />

Church's readings in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Liturgy</strong>.<br />

v. The Coptic Gospel: read by <strong>the</strong> celebrant priest, who will<br />

offer <strong>the</strong> Lamb, whe<strong>the</strong>r he be <strong>the</strong> Bishop, a Hegumen or a<br />

priest, because it is a part of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Liturgy</strong> and it teaches us<br />

about <strong>the</strong> sayings and life of our Lord and Saviour Jesus<br />

Christ.<br />

vi. The Arabic/o<strong>the</strong>r language Gospel: read by a high rank<br />

deacon, such as an archdeacon, and it is preferable that he<br />

also be <strong>the</strong> deacon serving in <strong>the</strong> altar during <strong>the</strong> <strong>Liturgy</strong>.<br />

The reason that <strong>the</strong> Coptic Gospel should be read by <strong>the</strong><br />

celebrant priest or bishop, while <strong>the</strong> Arabic Gospel is read by<br />
