for you by teaching you <strong>the</strong> word of life and salvation,<br />
placing <strong>the</strong> image of Christ before you, always <strong>to</strong> remind you<br />
of <strong>the</strong> incidents of <strong>the</strong> Lord's life, <strong>from</strong> His birth, crucifixion,<br />
resurrection and ascension. Reminding you of His words and<br />
teachings so that Christ might be formed in you and that your<br />
faith can become stronger in Christ. The church implements<br />
this with her children. This is reflected in <strong>the</strong> seven prayers in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Agbia, where <strong>the</strong> believer prays daily, contemplating and<br />
recalling Christ. Thus, Christ is formed and His image vivid<br />
in <strong>the</strong>ir minds, incidents, daily sayings, etc. The teachings of<br />
Christ are alive in <strong>the</strong>ir memory all day, every day. As written<br />
in Revelation 22:4, "And <strong>the</strong>y shall see His face; and His<br />
name shall be on <strong>the</strong>ir foreheads."<br />
The Third Hour Prayer<br />
The church instituted <strong>the</strong>se prayers for commemorating <strong>the</strong>se<br />
incidents in <strong>the</strong> life of our Lord Jesus Christ:<br />
V The condemnation of Jesus Christ before Pilate and <strong>the</strong><br />
sentence of His crucifixion, despite <strong>the</strong> witnessing of<br />
Pilate regarding His innocence. Jesus did not argue but<br />
was silent like a lamb taken <strong>to</strong> be slaughtered. Psalm 25<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Third Hour prayer says, "Vindicate me O Lord,<br />
for I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Lord, I shall not slip. Examine me O Lord, and<br />
prove me."<br />
V During <strong>the</strong> ascension of <strong>the</strong> Lord Jesus Christ <strong>to</strong> heaven,<br />
<strong>the</strong> Psalmist says, "Who may ascend in<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> hill of <strong>the</strong><br />
Lord Or who may stand in His <strong>Holy</strong> place He which<br />
