My beloved, pray this hymn with <strong>the</strong> congregation, with<br />
understanding and attention, giving God <strong>the</strong> due glorification<br />
as He is everlasting, with no beginning and no end.<br />
Guide Us In<strong>to</strong> Your Kingdom ...<br />
In this prayer <strong>the</strong> priest says, "Guide us in<strong>to</strong> Your kingdom,<br />
that as in this, as likewise also in everything, Your great<br />
and holy name be glorified, blessed and exalted in<br />
everything. Honourable and blessed, with Jesus Christ<br />
Your beloved Son and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit." This part was<br />
mentioned in one of <strong>the</strong> old handwritten liturgy books as<br />
follows: "Guide us in<strong>to</strong> Your kingdom, that and through<br />
this, as likewise also in everything, Your great and holy<br />
name is glorified, blessed and exalted in everything, with<br />
<strong>the</strong> honourable, and blessed Jesus Christ Your beloved<br />
Son and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit."<br />
The second text is more correct than <strong>the</strong> first, relative <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
accurate Coptic text and its meaning. We shall try <strong>to</strong> find<br />
some deep meanings treasured in this wonderful prayer,<br />
based on <strong>the</strong> second text. "Guide us in<strong>to</strong> Your kingdom...",<br />
<strong>the</strong> priest asks for guidance <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> good way that leads him<br />
and his congregation <strong>to</strong>wards <strong>the</strong> heavenly kingdom <strong>to</strong> dwell<br />
with God forever in glorious joy. "...that and through this,<br />
and likewise also in everything, Your great and holy name<br />
is glorified, blessed and exalted...", as many were guided <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> heavenly kingdom, walking <strong>the</strong> correct path, and adorned<br />
with spiritual virtues. This is reason enough for glorifying<br />
God, praising Him and exalting His Name, as <strong>the</strong> Lord Jesus<br />
Christ said, "Let your light so shine before men, that <strong>the</strong>y<br />
